About Let’s Talk Housing

Created as a shared resource of the Cities, Towns, and the County of San Mateo, Let’s Talk Housing helps people in each of our communities learn more about housing and get involved in shaping their local housing policies and programs.

Let’s Talk Housing is researching and sharing information about displacement because it is an issue affecting so many of our communities. Our goals for this work are to:

  • Foster a sense of belonging for everyone in San Mateo County.
  • Support community, household and individual stability.
  • Keep people and families healthy, safe and housed.
  • Expand affordable housing options at all income levels and support housing choice.
  • Create and maintain a culturally and economically diverse San Mateo County.
  • Enable a stable and diverse workforce to afford to live in San Mateo County.
  • Ensure seniors can age in place.
