Check out the City’s Housing Element and Anti-Displacement Strategy websites to learn more. In an effort to address displacement, one of the most pressing equity issues facing our community today, the City worked with diverse stakeholders to create a citywide Anti-Displacement Strategy in 2022. The goal of Redwood City’s Anti-Displacement Strategy was to develop strategies to prevent and mitigate the impacts of displacement and consists of three policy areas: Protection, Preservation, and Mobile Homes Preservation. The City has already implemented its Affordable Housing Preservation Fund and re-zoned mobile home parks, and is currently in the process of finalizing updates to the Tenant Protection Ordinance.
